P291

The
SERCOS daughter board allows a Motion Coordinator to be used
as a SERCOS master. The Trio SERCOS software allows each P291
to control up to 8 axes via SERCOS with cycle times down to
250usec. On the MC224 Motion Coordinator, multiple SERCOS
daughter boards can be used to provide up to its maximum of
24 axes.
Servo drives from a wide variety of SERCOS compatible manufacturers
can be connected via the fibre optic ring. The Motion Coordinator software allows for configuration of the servo drives, reading
and writing drive parameters, and running cyclically in speed
or position modes.
Each
P291 fitted in a Motion Coordinator allows the use of 2 SERCOS
axes. Additional axes can be enabled using “Feature
Enable Codes”.
