Precision Analogue Input Daughter Board
print printer friendly

P225

Trio, a pioneer in the use of modular option daughter boards, adds the P225 to the line up. The P225 provides (8) 16-bit analog input channels for general-purpose use in the range of 0-10Vdc. Analog inputs are now available using the existing CAN Analog Module (P325) via the CANbus link, or using the P225 for faster updates and more resolution.

With the P225, users can get all channels of analog data synchronized to the servo loop at 250us. With the addition of a "remote axis" FEC, the P225 can be used to close the servo loop using an absolute voltage for feedback. For example, a two axis analogue / servo system would require a P225 and P702.

The P225 is ideal for applications requiring precision torque or force control from an analog transducer. If an unused encoder input is available on the Motion Coordinator, incremental position feedback can also be fed back to the controller for verification of a torque-force axis. The 16-bit resolution and high-speed servo-loop synchronization can give performance previously unattainable in low-cost motion controllers.
