Motion Coordinators support different options for position
feedback from systems. All Motion Coordinators can use
incremental encoder feedback. Dedicated position capture
registers for each axis are standard (2 per axis on MC206X and PCI 208) for hardware registration.
5 volt differential
inputs are used as standard. Incremental encoders can be
run at up to 6Mhz edge rate on MC302X, MC206X, PCI 208 and
Euro205x. On daughter boards the edge rate is 1.5 Mhz.
For more flexibility in position feedback, systems using
daughter boards can accept direct feedback from resolvers or SSI
absolute encoders (including multi-turn devices).
Analogue inputs (using the P225 Analogue Input Daughter Board) can be used for 16 bit analogue feedback for up to 8 axes.
