»MC302K Motion Coordinator
The MC302-K Motion Coordinator fits within Kollmorgen Servostar™ Digital Drives to provide an easy to use 1½ axes motion controller with sophisticated motion control features. The module simply slides into the S600 option slot and is powered by the drive. Based on Trio’s latest high-performance 32-bit ARM technology, the MC302-K offers 64MHz performance in a compact package.

»SLM Technology
Control Techniques SLM technology uses high resolution SIN/COS encoder with a speed loop processor coupled directly to the motor. Tests conducted using a "Ball Bar" test configuration showed how an MC224 fitted with SLM axes performed when compared to CNC controllers.

»New PCI208 FREE Manual Download
Trio’s recently introduced PCI bus Motion Coordinator offers a wide range of configurations and options for 2-8 axis PC based motion control. The full technical reference manual for the PCI 208 is now available as a FREE download.

»SERCOS Inter-operability Demo
We guess that it is certainly the first (and probably the last !) time that drives from these three international manufacturers have worked together over one SERCOS ring. The Trio stand at SPS Nurnburg demonstrated inter-operability of drives from:
» Allen-Bradley
» Sanyo Denki
» Yaskawa

Servo Drive SERCOS Interface
The new P730 Sigma II Sercos Interface from Trio Motion Technology makes this leading digital drive communications standard available to users of the popular Yaskawa Sigma II Servo Drives.

Specifically designed for servo drive control applications, the SERCOS interface can transmit cyclic data at high speeds with precise synchronisation. SERCOS has the advantage of being an open standard, which allows drive and controller users to avoid being “locked in” to proprietary systems.
The P730 can operate with third party motion controllers or with Trio’s Motion Coordinator range. The Sigma II Sercos Interface satisfies SERCOS Interface Specification compliance class B in velocity or position control mode, and can run at SERCOS cycle times of 500usec and above. It does not currently support the class B drive controlled homing procedure IDNs.
